Coca-Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung have been unveiled as the presenting partners for the London Olympic 2012 Torch Relay today.

The commercial partnerships will commence between May and July 2012 in the run-up to the Games.

The announcement of the Olympic Torch Relay sponsorships were made at an event in London, hosted by LOCOG, and attended by LOCOG chair Sebastian Coe, and Minister for Sport, Hugh Robertson.

The Olympic Torch Relay will pass within an hour's journey of 95% of the population as it travels through the UK in the run up to the start of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

As presenting partners, the three brands will have the opportunity to nominate torch bearers to run with the Olympic Flame.

As the Olympic Torch Relay travels around the United Kingdom, it will be accompanied by Coca-Cola, Lloyds TSB and Samsung.

All three brands are committed to launching prominent global advertising, marketing and public relations campaigns in support of their Olympic activity.

The brands all intend to use the London 2012 OTR to link youth and sport in the pursuit of achievement and to encourage people to get involved in their local communities.

Sanjay Guha, president of Coca-Cola GB and Ireland, said: "We are thrilled to be sponsoring the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay. We know from firsthand experience that the Torch Relay helps to inspire a whole country to get involved in the spirit of the Games."

Gyehyun Kwon, vice president and head of worldwide sports marketing at Samsung, said: "As a Worldwide Partner, Samsung has a firm commitment to the Olympic Games and is once again thrilled to be a Presenting Partner for the Olympic Torch Relay."

Sally Hancock, director for London 2012 partnership at Lloyds TSB, added: "We see this as an unique and exciting opportunity for us to deliver our vision of inspiring and supporting young people, customers and communities by taking the Olympic Torch Relay to people's doorsteps across the UK."
